CrimeReports brings crime data to mobile phones

Members of the public throughout the country can now carry the CrimeReports national crime map wherever they go thanks to a new iPhone application created by CrimeReports.com.

The new CrimeReports iPhone application features official, up-to-date crime data directly from more than 600 law enforcement agencies across North America as well as sex offender data for all 50 states.

“The success of CrimeReports.com made it clear that there’s a great deal of interest in crime information out there,” said Ryan Lufkin, director of marketing at CrimeReports.com, Salt Lake City.

Fresh Coffee for iPhone users at Swedish 7-Eleven

An iPhone application developed for 7-Eleven Sweden combines a store locator with coupons for a free coffee and biscotti. After downloading the app, users plug in their phone number and receive a unique coupon code on their iPhone. To claim their coffee, they just show the code to a 7-Eleven clerk; no purchase necessary. The coupon is only valid once, and free coffee in April will be followed by free ice cream in May.

The Starbucks ‘Love Project’ Promotes Global Sing Along

A new promotion between Starbucks and (RED) to be announced tomorrow, December 4. In support of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Starbucks is planning a “Global Sing Along” to took place simultaneously around the globe on Monday, December 7.

At exactly 8:30 a.m. ET on that day, musicians worldwide joined together in a performance of The Beatles classic “All You Need Is Love.” This performance will be live-streamed online atStarbucksLoveProject.com. After the live sing along, anyone will be able to upload their own version of “All You Need Is Love” to the Starbucks Love Project site, with money donated to the Global Fund for each video.
