LG Mobile Phones creates marketing campaign for James Cameron’s Avatar to promote the eXpo

In an effort to get some additional exposure for its brand and its newly announced handset – eXpo, LG Mobile Phones — in partnership with Twentieth Century Fox and Lightstorm Entertainment — has created a multi-faceted marketing campaign for the highly anticipated epic adventure film – Avatar.

The campaign consists of several elements:

  • A TV spot that features the “Avatar” movie trailer footage being projected from the recently announced LG eXpo.
  • Interactive micro site (www.lgexpo.com), which includes exclusive movie content from the movie as well as all the details about the eXpo.
  • Facebook page and exclusive apps – joint-sponsored between FOX, MTV and LG.

Is Avatar worth seeing? Yes, on a big screen in 3D because it really is spectacular. The Na’vi are more expressive than any previous examples of motioncapture technology, except Gollum in The Lord Of The Rings.

From the reviews I’ve read, it seems worth the wait and money. I’ll be catching it soon on theater for sure. Na’vi’s are definitely well emphasized and Pandora looks simply breathtaking.
