Cadbury’s ‘eyebrow’ ad goes viral to tune of 4m views

Cadbury’s latest TV ad, in which 2 po-faced children sitting in a photographer’s portrait studio make their eyebrows dance to a bleepy electro-funk track, has taken the internet by storm, with the confectionery company claiming it has been viewed 4m times.

Ford taps Microsoft for multichannel campaign featuring mobile

Ford Motor Co. tapped Microsoft Advertising to build awareness for the Ford Sync product via branded experiences for MSN, XBox Live and mobile.

The Ford Play It 4-Ward campaign combines original branded content with a multi-screen campaign across the PC, mobile—including banner ads on-deck with Verizon Wireless—and in-game ads now live in Activision’s Rock Band, DJ Hero and Guitar Hero game series. The campaign debuted on MSN and can be downloaded as a mobile application, with the same original content available on the PC and on the mobile phone.

Cellphones drive Social Networking now – IDC Survey

Mobile devices are the preferred tools by social network site (SNS) users over PCs in at least four Asian countries, according to a recent IDC survey report.

The report, titled “Examining Usage, Perceptions, and Monetization: The Coming of Age for Social Network Sites in Asia/Pacific,” said more than 50% of respondents in China, India, South Korea and Thailand access social networks such as Facebook weekly via mobile phones.

In China and Thailand, 62% and 65% of the respective respondents use mobile phones to get news alerts and notifications, receive and reply to messages, upload photos, or update personal status and profiles on popular SNS. Continue reading ‘Cellphones drive Social Networking now – IDC Survey’
