In just a few months you might enter your local McDonalds and order your happy meal or chocolate shake and discover they now serve digital prints. Yep it’s true. According to recent PMA news brief McDonalds is testing a new kiosk system that provides music CD’s, ring tones, and digital prints. If successful in the next 60-90 days the Digital Transaction Machines at the McDonalds test store will be rolled out to Germany first then other markets. The high tech McDonalds test store is located in Oak Brook Ill.
New high-tech McDonald’s adds digital photos and Web surfing to the mix, Chicago Tribune reports Burning CDs, downloading mobile-phone ring tones, and printing digital-quality photos soon could be the newest things on McDonald’s menu, The Chicago Tribune reports. In a bid to draw the young and tech-savvy into its restaurants, McDonald’s Corp. has begun pilot testing a new ATM-style device called the Blaze Net that allows customers to buy music and ring tones, print photos, and surf the Web at the restaurant. Open since May 16, the new flagship restaurant near the Oakbrook Center shopping mall, Oak Brook, Ill., USA, combines several high-tech gadgets yet to be seen in more conventional McDonald’s eateries.
